American Legacy Books does significant online promotions and advertising for this web site. So, in addition to being available for sale in our store, your book will be getting additional publicity and exposure to larger audiences. The set-up fee is for fulfillment. (See Fulfillment Services.)

Submit 10 Books, Your Information, and Your Fee
When your ten books have sold, we will request a larger quantity.
Your one-time fee covers all future submissions of this book.
There will never be another set-up fee for your book.

it must be PRINTED and amazingly easy to read.

Eligibility
We do not accept all entries. American Legacy Books reserves the right to omit from our store any books or products that are pornographic or otherwise deemed offensive by our staff. (Very sexually explicit material is not necessarily pornographic and may be accepted.) Also, we do not accept books and products that we do not think that we can sell.
Approved Submissions and Returns
Send ten copies of your book. Do not send more. Do not send less. (Exception: We will confer with you on the quantity if your book is unusually expensive.) When the books sell down to a low number, we will contact you and request that you send more.
Your books remain with us for a minimum of six months from the time that we receive each shipment from you. If your books do not sell out within six months, you have the option of asking us (in writing) to return the remaining books, but you will pay the shipping cost plus $18 for our packaging and labor. (After you make your request, we will weigh the remaining books and tell you what the shipping cost will be.) You are not required to ask for their return at any time. If they have not sold out within one year from the time we received each shipment and you have not requested their return and made your payment as described above, your books become our property to dispose of as we choose. We usually donate books to schools and charities.
Discount Percentages
The standard discount rate within the publishing industry for bookstores and booksellers throughout America is 40%. We will receive only 15%. (Discount rates for other products, such as CDs, may be different. Please ask us.) We will be responsible for collecting the payment, postage, and handling from the customer. We will be responsible for processing each sale and for the delivery to the customer. We will be responsible for accepting returns, if any, made by the customer. (For details, see Fulfillment.)
Payments to Authors
We pay quarterly (every three months). There is lag time between the time that a customer pays us and the time that a check is mailed to you. Why? Credit card customers have 90 days to dispute a sale. Checks usually clear in 1-10 days, but, in rare instances, they have taken 60 days. If, for any reason, the customer requests a refund, the amount will be deducted from your current and/or future payment(s). If you have no payments due to you, then you will be responsible for the return of the refunded amount to us. (We already will have made the refund to your customer.)
Changes in Our Policies
We will update this web site to reflect any changes in our policies. Please check frequently. If you do not agree with the changes, you may request the return of your remaining books following the procedures as described above after the required six months have elapsed.
