The first thing that we should understand about religion is that all races of people, at some point in time, created their own concepts of God, gods or goddesses, and a divine order of worship. This is why so many religions exist among the different races of people throughout the world. In China, you find Confucianism. In Iran, you have the Baha'i religion. In every part of the world, there are indigenous people with a unique belief in their own God.
There are a number of reasons why we have suffered for so long, but the greatest cause may be the number of differences among us. For example, there are more religions among 40 million African Americans than there are among a billion people in China. We are Christians, Muslims, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Five Percenters, Hebrew Israelites, Moors, Ausarians (Ausar Aset Society), and others. ... Unfortunately, there has never been a race of people in recorded history that overcame oppression while they were culturally or ethnically divided.
First, we must realize that we did not become fragmented and downtrodden overnight. It took 500 years of enslavement... Therefore, we must be realistic in anticipating the time span necessary to reverse this process. Change will come with one person at a time.
